Midweek Update: Tryon Spring 5
Jad Dana (LBN) and Itchcock Des Dames (Marius Claudius x Calvaro F.c.) stopped the clock in a time of 32.62 seconds on Thursday in Tryon International Equestrian Center & Resort’s Tryon Stadium to claim a win in the $32,000 ProElite Welcome Stake CSI 3*. Brittini Raflowitz (ISR) and Anibale De Hus (Conrad x Argentinus), the 2010 Selle Français stallion owned by Bellwyn Farm LLC, broke the beam in a time of 33.58 seconds to earn reserve place.

Atop an all-female podium in Saturday night’s $30,000 Nutrena Grand Prix, Delaney Flynn (Windsor, SC) took both first and second with her equine partners. Posting two clear rounds, Flynn marked the fastest time of the night aboard Julieta (Canstakko x Zum Felde), with 39.69 seconds on the clock. Also going double clear to take second with Windsor Show Stables’ 2014 Holsteiner mare Cassinnia (Casilito x Senora), Flynn secured her second place podium spot with a jump off time of 40.90 seconds.

The Tryon Spring Series presented by Main Street Insurance kicked off this week with Tryon Spring 1, hosted April 30-May 5. Coming off their reserve honors in Wednesday’s Open Jumper Classic, Amanda Derbyshire (Wellington, FL) and Otto BH (Norton D'eole x D-armel Van't Kamerveld) capitalized on their success to win Thursday’s $30,000 ProElite Welcome Stake.

Luiz Francisco de Azevedo (BRA) and Nashville closed out their Tryon Spring Series by winning Saturday’s $146,000 Main Street Insurance Group Grand Prix CSI 3*. Gigi Phillips (USA) and Thunderbird were victorious under the lights in Tryon Stadium to win the $25,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby presented by The Farm House, taking her second consecutive derby win of the day at Tryon International Equestrian Center & Resort (Tryon International)
Tryon Spring 5 Results:
At Tryon International Equestrian Center & Resort (Tryon International), Samuel Parot (CHI) and Chrystal Blue were the best of the best in the $146,000 Bobcat Grand Prix CSI 3* at Saturday Night Lights presented by Tryon Horse & Home. Parot and his own 2011 Oldenburg gelding (Chacco Blue x Calvaro F.C.) cleared the jump off course in 44.63 seconds to secure the win.
Tryon Spring 5 Midweek Update:
Thirty-nine horse and rider pairs tackled the course set by Ivan Tagle (ARG) in Thursday’s $39,000 ProElite Welcome Stake CSI 3* at Tryon International Equestrian Center & Resort (Tryon International), with Luiz Francisco de Azevedo (BRA) and HFG Quaman marking the fastest time in Tryon Stadium with 36.22 seconds in the jump off.

The $78,000 PBR Ironpeddlers Chute Out Grand Prix CSI 2* was rescheduled to 9am Saturday morning with the cancellation of Saturday Night Lights presented by Tryon Horse & Home due to weather conditions, with 53 entries presenting for the Anthony D’Ambrosio (USA) course design. Kristen Vanderveen (USA) and Bull Run's Faustino de Tili, one of 10 clear rounds presented by Stuller Power Solutions, flew through the short course in a time of 34.24 seconds to take the win.
Tryon Spring 2 Results
Tryon Spring 2, one of six weeks of Hunter, Jumper and Equitation competition in the Tryon Spring Series presented by Main Street Insurance, hailed the start of Saturday Night Lights presented by Tryon Horse & Home, the fan-favorite event series featuring free entertainment, live music and a carnival atmosphere alongside premier jumping competition in Tryon Stadium.

Saturday afternoon, Tryon Stadium hosted the $75,000 Grand Prix, with 28 horses and riders presented over the first course. Alberto Michan (Wellington, FL) and Itchcock des Dames were the fastest of the day, clinching the win in a time of 37.102 seconds.
