The Most Unique Festival Venue to Explore this Labor Day Weekend
The third annual Earl Scruggs Music Festival returns to Tryon International Equestrian Center & Resort (Tryon International) in Mill Spring, North Carolina this Labor Day Weekend, bringing local and national flavors of Bluegrass and Americana to a venue unlike any other. The fun continues beyond the stages, from onsite lodging to shopping markets, extensive amenities, eight onsite restaurants and bars, kids activities and special events, free yoga classes, and so much more. General Admission tickets start at $65 for a daily ticket, and include FREE admission to kids under 12 with a paying adult. Covered grandstand and VIP options are available, as well as multi-day packages.

Tryon Spring 4 competition marked the first FEI competition of the season at Tryon International Equestrian Center and Resort (Tryon International), highlighted by the $62,000 Earl Scruggs Music Festival Grand Prix CSI 2*. Paul O’Shea (IRL) and Hellcat claimed the win in a time of 33.94 seconds in an exciting jump off competition under the lights in Tryon Stadium. Richie Moloney (IRL) and Skelwith Diamond Lady, the 2014 Anglo European mare (Kalaska de Semilly x Balou du Rouet) owned by Equinimity LLC, received second place honors for their 34.7-second performance, while third place went to Marilyn Little (USA) and La Contessa, the 2015 Mecklenburg mare (License x Cornet’s Prinz) owned by the Palm Beach Show Jumping Group, after stopping the clock at 35.01 seconds.
Earl Scruggs Music Festival Shares 2024 Lineup
Earl Scruggs Music Festival will return to Mill Spring, NC August 30-September 1 with a trifecta of outstanding talent, supreme amenities, and family friendly entertainment. This morning, organizers announced the 2024 lineup will include “Delta Dawn'' hitmaker Tanya Tucker, seminal string band Old Crow Medicine Show, country and bluegrass mainstay Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives, Colorado jamgrass ensemble Yonder Mountain String Band, and many more first-class pickers.

An all-American, all-female podium was crowned at Tryon International Equestrian Center & Resort (Tryon International) Saturday, July 1. Jacqueline Ruyle (USA) and her partner Cyramo Z dominated $78,000 Earl Scruggs Music Festival Grand Prix CSI 2*. Owned and shown by Ruyle, Cyramo Z (Clarimo X Vigo D Arsouilles Stx) stopped jump off timers at 35.95 seconds to win the Grand Prix. Alexandra Worthington (USA), and Turn A Blind Eye LLC’s De L'oiseliere (Kapitol D’argonne x Unknown), the 2013 Selle Français gelding, took reserve honors with a time of 35.95 seconds. Rounding out the podium was Lauren Tyree (USA), aboard her own 2013 Oldenburg gelding Voltanos (Voltaire Pref x Lordanos), marking a time of 42.08 seconds.
