Mill Spring, NC - August 15, 2024 - The third annual Earl Scruggs Music Festival returns to Tryon International Equestrian Center & Resort (Tryon International) in Mill Spring, North Carolina this Labor Day Weekend, bringing local and national flavors of Bluegrass and Americana to a venue unlike any other. The fun continues beyond the stages, from onsite lodging to shopping markets, extensive amenities, eight onsite restaurants and bars, kids activities and special events, free yoga classes, and so much more. General Admission tickets start at $65 for a daily ticket, and include FREE admission to kids under 12 with a paying adult. The Venue:
Tryon International is the ultimate destination for all who love horses, outdoor living, and an active lifestyle. Nestled under the Blue Ridge and equidistant to Asheville, Charlotte and Greenville, Tryon International is an easy day trip for anyone who wants to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Diverse onsite restaurants include hearty Italian cuisine, artful sushi and Asian offerings, locally sourced American favorites, a 50s diner, Mexican favorites to-go, and various pop-up concessions and food trucks.
The resort is home to more than 20 boutiques and services open year-round, with abundant pop-up shopping opportunities available during the Earl Scruggs Music Festival. One, three, and five-bedroom cabins as well as an expansive RV park can be enjoyed year-round, with dry RV camping and tent camping added to Labor Day Weekend offerings.

Grammy Award-winning bass player of The Infamous Stringdusters and beloved host of The Travis Book Happy Hour will takeover the Legends Club and treat us to an intimate show featuring Tommy Maher, Julian Pinelli. We've added an additional, separately ticketed event, on Saturday morning called the "Bluegrass Over Easy Breakfast." Enjoy a gourmet breakfast buffet at the Legends Club while listening to a private performance by The Faux Paws on the Legends Stage. Horse Jumping Demos
Friday and Saturday, August 30-31, 12-2pm | FREE
Enjoy watching beautiful horses jumping over obstacles and preparing for their upcoming Fall competition circuit, in the heart of the festival grounds in Tryon Stadium. Horses and riders of all skill levels and multiple disciplines will be featured. Take a seat and be awed by the power and athleticism of these horse-and-rider teams!
Workshops

Your festival ticket gets you access to five workshops throughout the weekend, hosted in the Legends Club. Titles include: Summit on Earl’s Banjo Style; Songwriting Workshop; A Decade of the Earls and Earl at 100; Early Earl; Old and In the Way: Tribute Session; and the Boiling Springs Breakthrough.

Bringing the best of bluegrass, Americana, and roots music together with fans who have a true appreciation for the music, the Earl Scruggs Music Festival is a multi-day celebration of Mr. Scruggs’ incredible contributions and the rich musical culture of the region.
The Earl Scruggs Music Festival is presented in partnership with the Earl Scruggs Center, a museum and cultural center located in Shelby, NC, and public radio WNCW-FM, a flagship roots music station located at Isothermal Community College in Western North Carolina. The third inaugural festival will take place August 30-September 1, 2024 at the impressive Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, NC.
