Tryon International and Stuller Power Solutions Present $8,370 Donation to Safelight through Tryon Cares Presented by iHeartMedia

Winner of 14kw Generac Generator Announced

Hendersonville, NC - March 7, 2025 - Tryon International Equestrian Center & Resort (Tryon International), together with Stuller Power Solutions, presenting sponsor of 2024 Winterfest at Tryon International, gathered together with members of the media and representatives from Safelight to present a check for nearly $9,000 to the Western NC nonprofit. Tryon Cares presented by iHeartMedia is a giveback initiative which launched in 2022, as part of Tryon International’s Winterfest events, partnering corporate sponsors with local nonprofits to give back each holiday season, and provide the opportunity to spread awareness for each nonprofit. As the title sponsor of 2024 Winterfest at Tryon International, Stuller Power Solutions partnered with Safelight to donate back one dollar of every paying vehicle that drove through the Shadrack’s Drive-through Light Show.

The total amount presented to Safelight on Friday morning on site at Stuller Power Solutions totaled $8,370. As part of their three-year partnership with Tryon International, the goal for Stuller Power Solutions is to donate a minimum of $30,000 to Safelight.

Lynn Penny, Senior Director, Business Development at Tryon International, emphasized the value this partnership has fostered. “Without the generous support of Cheryl and Brian Stuller and the Stuller Power Solutions team, this incredible opportunity for Safelight would not be possible. Their sponsorship of the Christmas Light Show not only brought joy and magic to the community after a devastating fall, but also enabled us to fund a 15-passenger van for Safelight, providing essential transportation for individuals in need. Thank you Stuller for your continued support of the Tryon Cares initiative. While powering homes, you are empowering lives!”

Safelight Executive Director, Lauren Wilkie graciously accepted the donation on behalf of the organization that provides support for survivors of interpersonal violence, abuse, and exploitation. “Safelight is incredibly grateful to Stuller Power Solutions and Tryon Cares for year two!” Stated Wilkie. “This year's generous support has helped us purchase our 15-passenger van to transport survivors to vital appointments, fun outings for supply needs, field trips, and Camp HOPE.”

Sharon Decker, President, Tryon Equestrian Partners Carolinas Operations, offered her excitement and appreciation for the Tryon Cares program. “We are thrilled that Tryon Cares continues to provide support and outreach to the community, especially during this time of rebuilding after Hurricane Helene. Each of us at Team Tryon is thrilled to partner with Stuller Power Solutions to help organizations like Safelight keep building up resources to aid even more friends in need.”

Stuller Power Solutions not only partnered with Tryon International to present Winterfest activities November 22, 2024-January 5, 2024, but also offered the chance for light show attendees to enter to win a 14kw Generac Generator with a 200 amp transfer switch, valued at $5,250. The winners of the light show giveaway, Lauren and Adam McCrary of Hendersonville, NC, were present to receive their new generator.

Cheryl Stuller of Stuller Power Solutions highlighted the importance of this partnership and its ongoing efforts. “Stuller Power Solutions is honored to partner with Tryon International to support Safelight in its vital work in our community to support survivors of abuse. Safelight and its mission are something we care deeply about.”

Representing iHeartMedia, Lara Shaw, iHeartMedia Regional Partnerships, shared the organization’s excitement in contributing to Safelight’s initiatives and the involvement in the Tryon Cares program as a whole.

Since 2022, Tryon Cares has helped to garner support for the following nonprofits: Advent Health, CooperRiis, Foothills Humane Society, Healthy Smiles, H.O.O.V.E.S., PacJAM, Paws, Prayers & Promises, Polk County Schools, PS I love You, Safelight, Samaritan’s Purse, and Total Ministries. To date, Tryon Cares has contributed close to $40,000 to these organizations.
