With two talented horses making the jump off, Samuel Parot earned two of the top five placings out of the 27 Grand Prix competitors. “This horse is really fast. In the qualifier, we had one of the best times, but with rails down,” Parot said of his ProElite Welcome Stake CSI 2* performance with David Guetta, the 2008 Dutch Warmblood gelding.

Keeping all the poles up in the team’s second class of the week in Tryon Stadium, Parot shared that David Guetta’s precision and maturity helped secure the win. “He’s an older horse – he’s 16 years old, has experience, and is careful.”

Taking the derby win by just one point, Lilly Herzog had nothing but praise for her mount provided by GC Ponies, LLC. “I've been riding him for a few months. He's really well versed and knows what he's doing, so as long as I'm on board, he's perfect!” According to Herzog, D’Artagnan, also known as “Bo”, is “really cuddly and wouldn't hurt a fly. He's the sweetest animal.”
