Tryon International is excited to welcome this special event to the venue. Open to all disciplines and with its roots in Iberian cattle ranching, Working Equitation competitions can feature four kinds of trials: Dressage, Ease of Handling (EOH), Speed, and Cattle Trials all comprise Working Equitation.
The weekend will include both competition and clinic components.
Working Equitation of North Carolina is proud to host two licensed USAWE competitions on Friday and Saturday, June 23 and June 24, in the Indoor Arena at Tryon International Equestrian Center. The Summer Solstice at TIEC Shows #1 and #2 will be judged by USAWE “S” Judge Doreen Atkinson (Texas) and USAWE “R” Judge Susan Watkins (California), showcasing over two dozen rider/horse entrants each day competing in three Working Equitation trials: Dressage, Ease of Handing obstacles, and Speed.
On Sunday June 25th, USAWE “S” Judge Doreen Atkinson will be the featured clinician teaching small group lessons in the Indoor Arena. All of the events through the weekend are free to attend. Come join the fun and discover the sport of Working Equitation.
